Experience the Big-Five at a watering hole located right at the lodge and during the gamedrives, which are conducted by experienced rangers in the morning and afternoon. There is a shelter at the watering hole, so you are only a few meters away from the wildlife. This allows you to take fascinating wildlife photos. The lodge offers plenty of comfort in four cottages with one bedroom and two family cottages with two bedrooms each. The bedrooms with adjoining bathroom with tub and shower, separate toilet and outdoor shower are spacious. Each cottage has air-conditioning, ceiling fan, mosquito net, fireplace, mini-bar as well as a terrace with deck chairs from where you can watch the wildlife. In the main building there is the reception, a children's playroom, a lounge with fireplace, the large dining room as well as the house bar. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open to the terrace, so that meals are taken outdoors in summer. Families with children will feel especially comfortable here, as there is a large playroom and care for the children while the parents are on a game drive. The highlight of the lodge is the traditional booma, a barbecue area located under a 600 year old fig tree close to the waterhole. Two pools and a gym provide opportunities for sporting activities. The price includes all meals (sumptuous breakfast, lunch and dinner) and two gamedrives (morning and evening). We recommend a short flight from Johannesburg to Madikwe Game Reserve. The transfer from the western airstrip to the lodge is included in the price.
