FAQ
CUSTOMER PAYMENT PROTECTION: In the unlikely case of our insolvency or bankruptcy, your payments are protected in accordance with legal requirements of the European Community. Together with your booking confirmation you will receive an insurance voucher. Issued by R+V Allgemeine Versicherungen AG – Taunusstrasse 1 D – 65193 Wiesbaden – Germany

ARRIVAL DAY: In France and Italy, the arrival and departure day is always a Saturday. With every other destination the arrival is determined by the desired or available flight dates.

RENTAL PERIOD: In high season (July/August/Easter/Pentacost/X-Mas and New Year) a minimum rental period of two weeks (14 nights) is required. Out of high season most of the properties accept rentals of a minimum of one week (7 nights). In some holiday homes a 2-week-rental is obligatory throughout the season.

FITTINGS, FIXTURES AND EQUIPMENT: Please be aware that most of our properties are privately owned and are designed to specifications and preferences of the owners. In most cases they are designed for ‘private family living’, and not necessarily holiday trade. We will include a list of ‘wary’ common sense tips with your travel documents. Our villas, holiday homes and apartments provide good to luxurious living standards. As a rule, they are usually equipped with washing machine, often with dishwasher, colour television and telephone.  You will find precise details within the description of each accommodation on our web site.

ADDITIONAL COSTS – LINEN – TOWELS: Included in the rental price of all our holiday homes is all bed linen, towels, final cleaning and energy costs. This excludes the costs for the heating and occasionally air-conditioning. They must be payed upon consumption at the time of departure. Please note that the costs for energy are often higher in the Mediterranean countries than at home, so we urge you to save energy to reduce your individual costs and to protect the environment. Bed linen and towels are usually changed once a week. Please bring your own beach towels or mats.

ADDITIONAL BED & COTS: In our accommodation descriptions, we have noted, which properties can cater with additional beds for one to two persons. We can, of course organize for cots to be provided.  However, please note they may well differ to those you may use at home, and in some resorts it may only be a travel cot. In the interest of hygiene we suggest you bring your own bed linen for the cots. Occasionally owners ask a surcharge for the providing of additional beds/baby beds to be payed on site.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES AT YOUR HOLIDAY-HOME: As a rule, the service referred to on our web site descriptions and/or price list is generally a cleaning service according to the owner´s instructions. With most of our accommodation it is possible, after consultation with the owners to arrange for staff to take care of your individual requirements at an additional charge for cooking, cleaning, laundry service, baby sitting etc. Please request details.

PETS: Pets are often allowed but it must be declared at the time of booking. We will obtain the owners consent and confirm their agreement on the booking confirmation and the rental voucher. Please ensure you have the correct travel documentation for your pets. Pets must not enter the pool, nor must they be placed on sofas or beds. It the case of failure the owner reserves the right to be compensated for the damage arising and additionally the tenant may be asked to vacate the property immediately without any refunds.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: On arrival at your holiday home, you will be required to pay a security deposit. The amount will be clearly stated at the time of booking and will be confirmed on your travel documentation. Failure of handing over the security deposit may end in the owner´s refusal to give access to the property. If there are no discrepancies or damages to the property, the security deposit will be refunded – minus any incurred costs on site.


COMPLAINTS, QUERIES:
We cannot rule out the possibility that, from time to time, unforeseen problems can arise. If this occurs, please speak with the house owner or our local agent and it will be sorted out as quickly as possible. Also please inform us, so that within the bounds of our responsibilities and the possibilities available to us, we can take remedial action.

FLIGHTS: With the extensive range of flights and tariff scales available, it is not possible to quote exact prices. However, using our wealth of experience, we will be pleased to recommend routes and available services to your destination.

TRANSFERS: The transfer from the airport of port to your holiday home is not included in the rental price, unless it has been clearly stated. On request, we can arrange transfers.

RENTAL CARS: To ensure you have an individual holiday, we recommend you to rent a car. We are at your disposal to advise you and to take your bookings.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We firmly recommend that you take our a holiday cancellation insurance policy, that reimburses up to 80% of cancellation costs in the event of cancellation due to illness or death occurring prior to the beginning of the rental. We also strongly advise you take adequate insurance to cover Luggage Insurance / Travel (Personal) Liability Insurance / Travel Accident Insurance / Travel Health Insurance. Please contact us for further details or contact your local travel agent, who will gladly assist you!

HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES: Health and Safety standards in foreign countries can and do differ from regulations we take for granted in our country. We insure that all our homes comply at least with local safety regulations.

BUILDING/CONSTRUCTION WORK: We endeavour to ensure that you are aware of any building work in the vicinity of your holiday home. However, some of the properties are in developing areas and work can start with little to no warning.

INSECTS AND PESTS: It is a fact of life that insects thrive in hot countries!
Food should be covered and cleaned away to deter there visits. We also cannot guarantee that local dogs and stray cats have not been welcomed by previous occupants and linger around the properties. Properties near farmland and in remoter locations may have vocal farm animals in the vicinity!

FORCE MAJEURE: Force Majeure means unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control, resulting in events that we could not have avoided even if we had taken every possible care. Such events include (but not limited to) war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, unavoidable technical problems with transport, closure or congestion of airports, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire and adverse weather conditions.
