Torre di Modica

Torre di Modica is an impressive 16th century building. It is situated in the rural surrounding of Modica, in the centre of Baroque Sicily. From here one can enjoy panoramic views of the impressive landscape. Lots of antique small villages with a picturesque scenery in the nearby area are worth seeing. The main building of this exclusive manor house offers dwelling space of 300 sqm. The lovely courtyard is paved with natural stone and equipped with beautiful teak furniture and offers a small pool which ist open from the beginning of April until the end of October. The garden at the backyard is fully grown with olives, almonds, lemon trees, jasmine and other Mediterranean plants. The large pool can be found here. It is at the disposal of the guests from the end of April until the end of September. The interior of the holiday villa is tastefully held in rustic style. The spacious living room has a fireplace, which is situated in the middle of the room, visible from all sides. The rustic ceilings with wooden beams provide the rustic character of the house. The kitchen with typical tiles of Caltagirone disposes of a wood stove and a fireplace, which can be used as BBQ as well. The spacious bedrooms are furnished with wrought-iron beds and charmingly decorated. Nearest shopping facilities, bars and restaurants are only 2 km away. Modica offering all facilities such as banks, shops, restaurants and the train station is only 8 km driving. The sea with nice sandy beaches is only some 20 minutes driving away.
