This beautifully restructured, independent farmhouse lies on a hilltop in the Alto Chianti. The house is surrounded by woods and vineyards and dominates the surrounding countryside and the castles of Tornano and Lecchi. Mico di Sotto has a main house with 4 sleeping rooms and a separate spacious suite (30 sqm) with double room, sitting area and en suite bathroom with shower and WC. The suite is only accessible from the garden, there is no internal connection to the main house. The suite remains closed when the house accommodates only 8 persons.
Private entrance to the house is from the front courtyard. Stairs lead up to the the first floor where the living room, the dining room, the liveable kitchen, 3 sleeping rooms and 2 bathrooms are located. The tower with 1 twin bedroom with 2 separate beds is accessible from the kitchen. In front of the house there is a paved courtyard with two covered areas with tables for eating outside and a barbecue. Across the house courtyard is a low building where wood for the fireplaces is kept. This building also offers an additional complete bathroom with shower and washing machine. The house has a lot of open space surrounding it and a fully furnished lawn with deck chairs and canopy umbrellas. The swimmingpool (6 x 12 m) on the backside of the house is invisible from the outside. The house is beautifully furnished and offers terracotta floors, whitewashed walls and wood beamed ceilings. Some cooling fans are provided in the house. Gaiole with all shops, facilities and restaurants is only 5 kms away, Siena is at 23 kms and Firenze at 55 kms. Maid service is available on request. Pets are not allowed.
