Leeu Estates is an exclusive five-star boutique hotel property and winery with 17 luxurious room and suites surrounded by 68 hectares of vineyards, landscaped gardens and fynbos in the picturesque Franschhoek valley. It has only opened in summer 2016 and is located just minutes away from the village of Franschhoek with its award-winning restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. Leeu Estates is an elegant and sophisticated private hideaway, offering superb comfort, fine dining and platinum service. At the centre of the property is the meticulously refurbished 19th-century manor house with six rooms and suites, a premium restaurant, a comfortable lounge and a reading room with fireplace. There are 2 rooms in Leeu Spa, the remaining rooms and suites are located in spacious cottages among gardens, oak trees and vineyards. Guest can either book individual rooms or an entire cottage.
All rooms and suites are individually styled in a classic-contemporary design. Customised architectural detailing, tactile textures, a calm colour scheme and selected artwork create an exclusive and warm ambience.
At Leeu Estates’ restaurant delicious innovative cuisine is prepared at the highest level. In the Wine Studio guests can taste handcrafted premium South African wines from the award-winning collection. Leeu Spa and Gym offers expert massage and holistic treatments inspired by centuries-old Asian traditions.
There are several nature trails for hiking and cycling in the surrounding. Cape Town can be reached within an hour by car.
