Bienenalm Waldhaus

Exclusive Waldchalet of Bienenalm is nestled in the heart of Styria close to St. Stefan ob Leoben with unspoilt view of the valley and the surrounding mountains and forest. Its secluded location in the middle of forests, meadows and alps is impressing combining the freedom of nature with exclusiveness and style.
The Waldchalet of Bienenalm was carefully built on a special place in the forest using sustainably produced materials of the region. Low-energy construction, walls made of wood and clay, bio-sewage treatment plant and much more emphasise the ecological approach of the chalet. Traditional elements, old, hand-carved wooden beams, state-of-the-art technology and stylish, rustic furnishings underline the chalet's special charm and its distinctive, warm ambience. Large panoramic glass fronts offer beautiful views and create a direct connection to nature.
The Waldchalet of Bienenalm is surrounded by a garden with a typical variety of fruits, shrubs, berries and herbs, which can also be harvested by the guests.
On request, staff are also available - you have the choice to take care of yourself or to enjoy the full service on request at extra charge.
From the forest many activities can be undertaken depending on the season: Hikes in the woods and mountains, mountain biking, trips to the surrounding lakes, marmot observations, horseback riding, tobogganing, skiing / ski touring, cross-country skiing, fishing etc.
Kayaking and rafting, golf and tennis, ballooning and paragliding, etc. can be organised on request. Special experiences and special wishes - like travelling by helicopter or riding tours - are gladly arranged.
Dogs are welcome. At the forest house there is the possibility of a "fenced" area, so that the dogs can be free and their owners can be relaxed. If the dogs are "obedient", they can of course also run around completely free.
The nearest restaurant can be reached in 10 minutes by car, other restaurants and shops can be found in St. Michael, 9 km away.
