DESCRIPTION
Villa Brusati is a proud three-storey residence on the shores of Lake Lugano. It bears the name of an Italian general who was given the villa by Napoleon in gratitude for a special military honour. The exposed location directly on the lake allows you to enjoy a carefree holiday, while the proximity to the Swiss border makes it easy to explore the charming towns of both countries. The spacious house has a well thought-out layout with kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms carefully distributed over the three floors. Some rooms exude a modern aesthetic, while others feature charming period details such as large open fireplaces and rustic ceiling beams. One unique part of the house is even set within the walls of an ancient cave, the craggy walls of which can be seen in the spacious kitchen of this characterful room. With three living rooms, including a formal drawing room and a large central living space with sofas, grand piano, bar cart and fireplace, this area is the heart of the home. Doors lead out onto the terrace, which is ideal for evening drinks. A further living room with comfortable sofas, fireplace and TV provides a cosy place for movie nights. The house has three kitchens: a large, fully equipped kitchen with a spacious dining area and two smaller kitchens. You can dine indoors in the two large dining areas or on the terrace overlooking the lake. There are eight bedrooms in total. Two double bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, plus five further double bedrooms. These share four further bathrooms, which are equipped with a combination of bathtub and shower.
The outdoor area of Villa Brusati offers an unrivalled view of the glistening Lake Lugano. Spacious terraces, a well-tended garden, an outdoor dining table and comfortable sun loungers complete the outdoor ambience and provide the ideal setting to enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings. Villa Brusati is an ideal base from which to visit the lakeside towns and villages, including Porlezza and the Swiss town of Lugano. The lake and beaches are also within easy reach of the villa. Water sports, boat trips and day trips to Lake Como are also possible.
A maid comes on Wednesdays and Saturdays to do basic cleaning and to change linen and towels.
