Villa Florence

Villa Florence is located close to the small, charming harbour town of Saint-Florent in north-west Corsica, just a few steps from the sea. It was built in 1998 by France's renowned contemporary star architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Like his other buildings - he designed the interior of the Louvre, among others - Villa Florence is an architectural masterpiece. A good 30 m long roof covers the two separate parts of the house. In the middle between the houses is a large veranda with a fantastic sea view. Furnished with L-shaped lounge furniture, armchairs and a large dining table for 14 people, this patio is the property's meeting place in summer. The roof offers protection from the sun and also from a small rain shower. Both houses are mainly built of natural stone, spacious and bright. Centuries-old oak wood was laid for the floors. The villa is stylishly furnished with attention to detail, works of art perfectly round off the special ambience. The location directly on the sea makes this holiday home a jewel. The villa is surrounded by a large Mediterranean garden. The infinity pool, fenced in and alarm-secured, with a unique sea view, is somewhat off the beaten track. Saint Florent with restaurants and shopping facilities can be reached in a few minutes by car. The exposed, isolated location by the sea is due to the arduous access via an unpaved road, which is not suitable for sports cars. Service as well as a cook who prepares dinner for you is available daily except Sundays. The minimum stay is 2 weeks in July and August.
