On arrival to Bandaranaike International Airport, meet our English speaking driver and you will be transferred to River House in Balapitiya which approximately will take around 2 hours. The River House is an escape to sheer seclusion on the banks of the Madhu River. It has been ranked as one of CNN Travel’s ‘Sexy Skinny Dip’ spots of the globe. and has also been handpicked into a collection of most special escapes in the world.
Upon your arrival you will receive a soothing beverage to rejuvenate yourself from your journey.
This will be followed by an in-suite massage, where we will bring a holistic healing to you. Stumble out bed and have our experienced therapists lay their hands on you for supreme serenity. Our spa menu is a blend of everything blissful, offering you soothing rituals for the body, mind and soul.

DAY 02
Start the day with a nutritious breakfast.
Thereafter, visit the Balapitiya market in order to experience the vibrant culinary culture. Our chefs will accompany you to select the freshest of produce. Once back at the resort, you will be guided through handpicked recipes of regional cuisine. Feel triumphant as you and you loved one dine on your own preparations after.
Experience a 2 hour session of Yoga which will be conducted by a professional Yoga instructor amidst nature on the river deck by the Madhu River.
And, an exotic dinner to end and eventful day.

DAY 03
Soon after breakfast, you will be taken on a river safari on the Madhu Ganga through its winding waterways and pristine mangrove forest. A river safari lets you glide through the blue waters as colourful birds fly above or monkeys grin down from trees. While on the safari, there will be a few stops by the cinnamon cultivation and a magnificent temple.
This will be followed by a cycle tour to a village in Balapitiya to experience the traditions and simple lives of the community. You will be guided by a local English speaking trekker to the village and back.
What more can add a perfect end to your stay at The River House? A Candlelit Dinner by the pool, of course.

DAY 04 to DAY 07
After your final breakfast at The River House, you will be then transferred to Shinagawa Beach by a local Tuk Tuk where our staff will be eagerly waiting to welcome you. Shinagawa Beach has an oceanfront like no other; you’d revel in luxury on this secluded beach. It is also a Small Luxury Hotel of the World.
Here you may spend some leisure time by the beach.
