Villa Tea

This elegant villa is set on top of a hillside close to the village of Exambella. There are superb panoramic views onto 11 different islands of the Aegean. In the old days, the most notable and important families lived in this residential area on top of the hill, above the island's commercial life. Originally built in 1870, Villa Tea has completely been renovated in 2005. Today, the residence is one of the very few ones, which still recalls the nobility of previous times. The alleys are very narrow, thus the access by car is difficult. For the villa's guests there is the rather charming solution to commute by buggy cars that can be rented from local agencies. As soon as you step in from the arched iron gate, you will marvel at the excellent restoration of this traditional residence. The handcrafted wooden doors, high ceilings, beautiful wooden floors combined with modern design underline the villa's noble charm. The villa's focal point is the large infinity-pool with Jacuzzi and panoramic view. There is a pool house with WC and spacious terraces, offering various tranquil sitting and lounging areas. Large dining tables are ideal for al fresco dining and for enjoying the villa's luxurious and Mediterranean atmosphere. The bedrooms are spacious and have air condition and bath/WC en suite. The living areas are decorated with character and combine Greek folklore, European refined decoration and art objects. The upper terrace has a low ralling - so parents need to observe their children more than usual. Also the pool area is critical in that matter. Daily cleaning service and twice per week change of linen and towels are included in the rate. The staff lives in a separate building above the villa.
