The panoramic view extends far beyond green valleys and lush meadows all the way up to the majestic 3000 m peaks. In Mayrhofen at the Zillertal a special piece of nature welcomes you: the mountain nature park of the Zillertal Alps. On more than 370 sqm, one can experience unique sights. Guided tours show the varying atmospheres between 1000-3510 meters above sea level – and of course many of natures secrets.

Outdoor experience in Zillertal – pure adventure Whoever wants to undergo an active holiday in Zillertal, and new challenges, will be served with a variety of exciting offers. The unique mountain scenery of the Zillertal and its waters will provide opportunities for rafting, canyoning, tubing, mountain biking, climbing, canoeing vacations and more. Throughout the entire year, the Zillertal can be explored, with the help of experienced local guides. Altitude trails and ice walls, high ropes courses and climbing are just a small part of what Zillertal has to offer. Overcome obstacles and cross borders. Beginners and intermediates will be challenged in accordance with their ability and have the unique opportunity to look at the fascinating world of mountains from new perspectives. To be on the safe side it is always good to be in a group or with a private guide, so that the holiday will turn into an successful adventure.

In an active holiday in Zillertal one will be spoiled for choice. Choosing between a climbing tour, a guided hike of special interests or up to Königsdisziplin Gipfeltour, is near to impossible. On more than 1,000 km of footpaths every tourist finds his personal paradise. This well-maintained hiking trails in the Zillertal are gigantic. Countless possibilities of light and relaxed trails alongside villages and the Ziller promenade, are mostly created in a very family friendly manner. Additionally both the Zillertal lift as well as the mountain railways operate barrier-free. Specific hiking trails and demanding alpine paths, that can be extended to multi-day tours, are highly recommended for experienced and sure-footed hikers.

There are not many places in the world, from where you can enjoy uninterrupted views of the Grossglockner, Zugspitze and Dolomites simultaneously. At 3,250 m above sea level, the panoramic terraces are on the Hintertux Glacier and offer exactly this unique view of the Alps. At the summit of the mountain station “Frozen Wall“ a popular observation deck is situated, which can be reached by cable car. Already the ride on the cable car (glacier bus 3), is an experience for itself. It is the only cable car in the region, whose top station lies at 3,000 meters above sea level – the drive is accordingly exciting. Already the views from the gondola offer guests a fantastic panorama: the Tux Alps and the Zillertal Nature Park.

The high ropes course in Gerlos is a great adventure for children and teenagers. Here you can put your skills to the test and let off steam outdoors. The act of bonding with nature by moving around in-between trees and getting closer to the treetops and sky, sets a lasting impression. Parents always require good reasons to persuade their children to go hiking, however if the destination is the high rope course in Gerlos, little persuasion is needed.

The via ferrata between Gerlos and Zell is the starting point of the tour. From there it goes to the Gerlosstein lift, which brings you to the starting point of the via ferrata. The via ferrata in the Gerlossteinwand is the first modern via ferrata of Zillertal. From here you have an incredible view of perhaps the most beautiful mountain in the region. The view extends from Rofangebirge to Kaisergebierge and even the ice giants Ziller can be admired from there. Since the via ferrata can be reached by alpine lift, the climbers can divide their energy.

Beginners and children are also able to undergo in the ascent, as there are Mountaineering Schools that offer beginner courses. The route was carefully selected by the mountain rescue cell, to offer as much variety as possible. The via ferrata leads through the lime-gneiss wall of the Gerlossteins, located above Zell am Ziller, which is located on the north side of the mountain, because there the conditions are ideal. The distance is 380 m and one must overcome a altitude difference of 240 m. There are two pathways available for the descent. The path over the beautiful Heimjöchl which takes about 1.5 hours, and the little shorter signposted hiking trail.

Bike & Freeride Who prefers to explore the Zillertal by bycicle, can let off steam on the 800 km cycle routes. Leisure cyclists, biker and downhill free riders have a choice of plenty of routes, cycle paths and single trails in the Zillertal. Along the Ziller Promenade one can cycle for several kilometers on level roads, plus there are plenty of rest stops along the bike path and in the villages to strengthen yourself and recover. The mountain railways mark routes of varying difficulty for bikers and free riders. Ascent with the cable car and downhill all the way to the valley. The challenging single trail “hell ride“ of the Mayrhofen mountain railway is very demanding and recommended only for experts. The trail is 4 km long and runs over a altitude difference of almost 700 m steep terrain through the woods and into the valley. Extreme passages can possibly be avoided.

Stylish living This wonderful alpine world lies at your feet in our wonderful chalets and huts in the Zillertal. The Chalet Helfenstein is situated in Hart, at the entrance of the Zillertal, with spectacular views of Hochfügen .

The Chalet Antonia is located on almost 1200 meters above sea level with stunning views of the Summerberg on the opposite side of the valley.

Holiday in Sardinia – noble living and fine dining

We have very special tips for your holiday in Sardinia. The Mediterranean island is known for its gorgeous beaches, crystal clear water and unspoiled nature. Many VIPs thus have their summer residence in Sardinia. The highly respected actor Götz George once said in an interview in the HÖRZU, July 2013: „Apart from that, I’ll let the good God be a good man and I am happy in Sardinia – without laptop and without a mobile phone. Instead of technology I’d rather be surrounded by nature.“ Should that not be your motto for your next holiday in Sardinia? We offer suitable holiday homes, so you can relax carefree. Holiday Villa Nido di Cuculo in northern Sardinia, stands out with its natural-authentic charm and style. For someone who wants to rely on the infrastructure and service of a hotel, the Villa Moresca south of Olbia, is the perfect place. For lovers and connoisseurs of absolute upscale lifestyle we recommend the precious Forte Village Resort with several 5 * hotels with suites and bungalows. This gets upscaled with a luxurious offer of luxury villas for 4 to 8 persons in which ones wishes are the staffs command.

Daily service is self-evident; even a butler and a private chef will be provided in your villa. If a private cook isn’t enough, the resort offers 21 restaurants, five of which were awarded with a Michelin star.

For instance, at the restaurant of the famous German chef Alfons Schuhbeck, who lives by the motto “Spice for Life“, the guests are spoiled at Forte Village with his extraordinary dishes. The popular celebrity chef takes full advantage of the benefit of the spices, creating a holistic well-being for body and mind. Schuhbeck has different menus in a variety of restaurants at the resort, created to serve all three meals of the day. A special highlight is dinner in his new Schuhbeck’s gourmet restaurant. His menus complete the detox offers of the Spa.

Tradition meets modernity

Near Split, on a small island, a village named Primosten is situated. Previously you had to arrive via a bridge; today, Primosten is easily accessible over a causeway. When crossing this, one arrives in town, where a lively bustle in the narrow streets fascinates you at once. It is recommended to leave your car behind, and explore the place on foot as early as possible, to get a truly authentic taste of the town.

Here one can find rustic and stately town houses instead of mundane palaces, and nearly all of the rooms inside of the houses feature a sea view. Unfortunately Primosten is no longer a secret, because this town and its surroundings is one of the the most attractive areas of the Dalmatian Adriatic coast. Already in early days, tourists found their way onto the peninsula, and yet the traditional Mediterranean lifestyle has been well preserved. In other words, dine divine, drink delicious wine, enjoy a good conversation with friends and strangers at the waterfront and enjoy the seemingly endlessly shining sun.

Primosten offers an extensive program filled with cultural, leisure and other entertaining aspects.  The larger cities of Split and Sibenik are not far away in the event that you want to hear a more sophisticated concert or take a day trip to that area. A special highlight in the annual calendar are the Marian processions of Primosten: On the 9th and 10th of May, the feast of the Madonna of Loreto will be held on the 27th July and celebrated with the residents and numerous visitors in port Madonna. On both holidays Primosten is going to be busy: parades will be held, and many stalls will be provided. Leisure and entertainment of the kids will be taken care of. For anyone who staying near the peninsula at this time, these exciting events should not be missed.
